About Paddington station
Paddington's great train shed, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened in 1854 for the Great Western Railway, remains one of the finest pieces of Victorian railway architecture in London. Today nearly 70 million passengers a year use the station, connecting the capital with the Thames Valley, the West Country and Heathrow, alongside the Elizabeth line.
For networking, Paddington is effectively the front door to the M4 corridor and a natural location for business networking. Technology and life-sciences businesses from Reading and the Thames Valley, West Country companies travelling into London, Heathrow passengers and the growing office community around Paddington Basin all converge here. A morning coffee creates an easy networking opportunity with business people travelling across a remarkably wide economic region, making Paddington particularly well suited to informal business networking before the working day begins.
