Who we are

Commute Connect is a trading name of EdTrain Limited (company number 10813336), registered office 105 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3BU. We are the data controller for the information described here.

Booking a ticket

Tickets will be sold through Eventbrite. When you book, Eventbrite collects your name, email address and payment details and shares your booking and the answers you give on the order form (such as company, job title and drink choice) with us. Eventbrite's own privacy policy covers how they handle your data.

The printed attendee list

We print the name, company, role and company description you give when booking on an attendee list that is handed only to the people at that morning's event. It is never emailed out before or after. If you would rather not appear on the list, email us before the event.

Your drink order

We pass your drink choice - but not your contact details - to the venue the evening before so it is ready when you arrive.

Email updates

If you sign up for email updates we store your email address, the station you pick (if any), the page you signed up on, and the date, time and IP address of the sign-up. We then email you a link to confirm the address, and record when you confirm it, as a record of your consent. We use these details only to email you about Commute Connect events and your sign-up offer, and to check the offer is used once per person and once per company (by comparing company email domains). Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to be removed.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and events people look at, so we can improve the site. It is set up for statistics only - no advertising features, profiling or Google signals - and sets its own first-party cookies. You can turn it off at any time with this button:

The site also sets small cookies to remember that you have seen or used the email sign-up box (ccn_pop, ccn_sub and ccn_offer), so it is not shown again.

How long we keep information

We keep booking and attendee information for as long as we need it to run events and meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@commuteconnect.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
